A unique experience to discover the Nosy Mitsio Archipelago, one of the most pristine places in Madagascar, where nature, crystal-clear sea, and local life blend into an authentic adventure far off the beaten tourist track.
Departure from the hotel is scheduled for 7:15 AM. After about two hours of sailing, we will reach the Mitsio Archipelago. The first stop will be the famous 'Organ Pipes' site, a cliff plunging straight into the sea, characterized by limestone rock formations carved into incredible geometric figures; here, depending on sea conditions, you can enjoy your first snorkeling session. We will continue with a 15-minute sail toward Ankarea, an uninhabited volcanic island ideal for snorkeling enthusiasts, with the opportunity to venture into the tropical forest to admire an endemic baobab species. The morning will continue at the incredible Ampassindava beach, featuring about four kilometers of light-colored sand. Sailing will then take us to the peaceful bay of the Marimbé fishing village, where lunch will be served. Around 3:00 PM, after visiting the village, we will begin our return journey with a scenic cruise allowing us to admire the 'Four Brothers' (*Quatre Fratelli*), spectacular rock formations inhabited by colonies of endemic seabirds. Around 3:30 PM, we will transfer to the lodge, which is located about a 40-minute boat ride away on a beautiful beach in the southern area of Great Mitsio, next to the fishing village.
We will be accommodated in pleasant, comfortable bungalows built using local materials and traditional architecture, immersed in an authentic, natural environment. Enjoy some relaxation and free time on the beach, a refreshing swim, and a stunning sunset. Around 7:00 PM, we will have an aperitif followed by dinner, prepared by the villagers using local products and traditional recipes.
The following day, breakfast is served around 7:15 AM; afterwards, we will begin our tour of the fishing village, exploring the school and the medical dispensary to connect directly with the daily life of the local population. Departure is scheduled around 10:00 AM, and during the boat trip, we will be able to admire the 'Four Brothers'. Return to the hotel is expected around 12:30 PM.
