The day begins after breakfast, with departure toward Dakar along the picturesque villages of the Petite Côte. Upon arrival, the visit opens at Place de l'Indépendance, followed by a stop at the Presidential Palace and its striking Red Guard. The exploration continues through the lively Kermel and Sandaga markets and the vibrant Medina district, before a stop at the Grande Mosquée. A visit to Fann offers a glimpse into Senegal's contemporary architecture, showcasing the country's more modern face.
Around midday, a transfer leads to the port for the crossing to Gorée Island, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a place of quiet reflection. Lunch is included on the island, followed by a visit to the Maison des Esclaves, the Fort, and the Church of San Carlo Borromeo, each carrying its own chapter of the island's layered history.
The day winds down with a return to Dakar and a stop at the artisanal village of Soumbédioune, ideal for browsing local crafts and bringing home a lasting memory of the day. Beverages are not included and may be settled directly on site.
